Some of the greatest destinations included in our tours are the Vatican area, the Vatican Museums and The Sistine Chapel, San Peter's Basilica, the Ancient Rome Tour, the Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto Tour, The Catacombs and The Appian Way.

Professional tour guides, will supply our guests with invaluable information concerning the Roman culture and history, arts and traditions.

Suitable for small groups, all the city tours have a duration of about 3 and a half hours. All the tour guides are native English speakers, or Roman archaeologists, hold university degrees in teaching and the humanities and adhere to the highest standard of education. City tours start from a meeting point in central Rome.

Day trips by public transport

Ancient Ostia, Tivoli and The Castelli Romani are easy enough to reach by public transport: the area is well connected by three railway lines (to Frascati, Albano and Velletri respectively) and by the excellent Cotral buses, which leave from the Anagnina bus station at the end of metro line A. A daily travelcard known as a B.I.R.G. (Biglietto Integrato Regionale Giornaliero) allows unlimited travel on both bus and train throughout the area, which falls into Zone B of the Latium travel system. The ticket costs 4 Euro and also covers city Metro and buses.

VATOWe strongly recommend the Vatican tour and the Ancient Rome tour. A half a day trip to Ostia antica and to Tivoli. A full day trip to Pompei or Florence.

The tours are available for the guests of Villa Paola joining another group of participant and are to be arranged in advance. Most of the tours depart from the city centre. Some tours can be paid only in cash, other by card, please ask Fabiana in advance.
